052: Non-Traditional Student Ministry with Ansley Higginbotham
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Episode 52 of The Student Ministry Podcast features Ansley Higginbotham, who served in traditional ministry settings for a number of years but is currently serving from home. As a stay-at-home mom, she has been writing blogs, speaking at youth events, writing curriculum, and coaching other youth workers. She also has a huge heart for other women in ministry. For those of you who are not currently serving at a church, we pray this conversation will inspire you to think outside of the box for ministry opportunities. For those who are serving at a church, maybe this will give you some ideas of additional ways to serve. Whatever state you are currently in, we pray that Ansley's story will encourage you in your own ministry, and know that God is not done with you yet.

050: Honoring Tim Uhls
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Tuesday Feb 11, 2020
Episode 50 of The Student Ministry Podcast is a little different. In December 2019, the world lost a great youth pastor named Tim Uhls. For those who have been longtime listeners, you may remember Tim from episode 36. Tim was also Steve's youth pastor. In an effort to honor Tim and also cope, Steve reached out to several other people who were in Tim's youth group. This episode is dedicated to the vast impact Tim had on multiple generations over his 30+ years in ministry. There is no way to gather all of the stories, but we hope these few give you a good idea of who Tim was and also encourages you to also have an impact on those God places in your care. We cannot wait until the day when you get to meet Tim in heaven, witness his amazing heart and booming laughter, and we all get to worship God together for eternity!
